So, you’re the best man at a wedding and you’ve now got the daunting task of putting together an entertaining best man funny speech… Your task is to deliver a special speech that everyone will remember will remember for all the right reasons.
If you’re nervous, don’t worry - even the most naturally confident and funny people can buckle with nerves when presented with a roomfull of people to make laugh. - Preparation is the key. If you’ve prepared your speech well, you’l have less reason to be nervous.
- Use a killer opening line that’ll have everyone laughing from the start - something along the lines of “This is the second time today I have stood up from a warm seat with a piece of paper in my hand…”.
- Don’t drink too much before the speech - You may well end up making a fool of yourself, and you’ll find it difficult to follow your notes.
- Make sure you don’t offend anybody
- Flatter the bride!
